I visited Oleum Ortigia on a crisp evening in November 2023. I was seated immediately, very friendly and inviting staff. They have the tastiest potato appetizer on the menu - salty, oily with the right amount of onions. I highly recommend this appetizer. The pizza was fantastic as well. Please drizzle the various olive oil variants (provided at the table) generously on all the food items.
Pistachio pesto pizza and antipasti were amazing. Best pizza I had in Sicily. Extremely well priced as well - most pizzas were between €8-12, and they're large, with a nice crispy edge and softer centre. Lots of oils on the table with recommendations on the menu. There are English menus as well as Italian, and you can also view on your phone via QR.
I have eaten pizza all over the United States: New York, New Jersey, New Haven, Detroit, Chicago, and in Napoli. This pizza is creative, delicious and as good as any that I would rank with the best. Bellissimo.
Food: delicious pizza! The crust was amazing and the toppings were of top botch quality.

The location is great, as it was in a quiet, cosy alley right off the culinary main street.
Delicious pizza, good value, great service. Very happy! They have a selection of different flavoured olive oils to drizzle on the pizza, which made the experience even better.
Great service, nice selection of olive oil, lovely and peaceful street just off the busy main district with restaurants.
Excellent pizza. They bring a little tray of test tubes filled with different infused olive oil which adds a great dimension to the experience.
This was the best margherita pizza I had while in Sicily. I also had the pistachio pesto potatoes and they were amazing! Highly recommend this place!!
